La Boca, New Orleans

Monday, October 05, 2009

Some people paint. Some people are into photography. I eat. I just love to eat good food. Case in point, La Boca - an Argentinian steakhouse in the Warehouse District of New Orleans. The service was impeccable, the food simple and delicious. The ensalada de sandia - smoked bacon, blue cheese, arugala & watermelon bites - was perfection on a plate. The grilled argentine cheese appetizer was melt-in-your-mouth yummy. We decided to go for two completely different pieces of the menu next - crabmeat ravioli for me & the hanger steak for Chad. We got to pick out our own steak knives too, which I think is pretty cool. I think you can tell a lot about a person based on their choice - I went for the slim one with a red handle, and Chad grabbed the big ol' cowboy knife. Ah, well. The ravioli was devine & the steak was one of the best we've had in New Orleans.
La Boca has made our list of favorites - we'll definitely be back, with friends!
