2009 in Cities

Wednesday, February 03, 2010

I always like to look back on the year that just was... reflect on accomplishments, and things I've been able to see & do with this one little life that I've been given. 2009 will likely go down as one of my more transformational years, from a professional as well as from a personal perspective. Never would I have thought I'd be commuting between Canada & North America climbing the corporate ladder in January, and by the end of the year I'd be back in Louisiana, leaving my corporate-addiction stage behind to join a teeny tiny start-up. Couldn't have seen it play out that way in a million years. Though I do believe that life gives you what you need at that exact moment, even if you can't see the reasoning behind it until much later. I can gladly say that I'm thankful for everything that has led me to this point, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what this next year brings into my life.

Here's my 2009 in Cities. With each one of them, I have an amazing memory. But isn't that what travel is all about?- Making memories to look back on when you're 85, meeting people and having experiences that shape you into the person you are...

  2. Everyone has a different path. Rather than fight it because it wasn't in the 'plan', grab it with both hands & explore it... because it is all happening that way for a reason!
