Crabmeat Salad | Recipe

This past weekend we headed east for the always fabulous Sandestin Wine Festival. While we were there, we were treated to a feast at a friend's beautiful beach house in Seaside, Florida. One of the appetizers we had that night was a cool crabmeat salad topped with chunks of avocado. It quite possibly was one of the best things I've ever tasted, so I vowed to come home and mimic the recipe. Here's a recipe that I think comes closest- Spicy Crab & Avocado Salad. There are also lighter versions made with olive oil instead of mayo, like this one from www.skinnytaste.com. Presented in a chilled martini glass, this is a great first course before grilled steaks. Trust me.
